Located northwest of Long Island, it is the largest district in New York. Queens was named in 1683, in honor of Queen Catherine of Braganza, wife of Charles II of England. This district is considered New York's bedroom. Occupied mostly by typical single-family houses built on wood, has a large ethnic diversity.

The Museum for African Art, the country's only museum dedicated to African art and culture, the New York Hall of Science is the only museum of science and technology in the city, the Queens Museum of Art with its impressive scale model of New York and Museum of Contemporary Art PS1 Contemporary Art Center, MoMA affiliate, are cultural symbols of Queens.

The Flushing Meadows - Corona Park, is the park with the most complete sports complex and attractions, which include the Shea Stadium NY Mets baseball team and the USTA National Tennis Center, where they held the U.S. Open Court.

Two of the three airports available to the city are in Quenns. International Airport John F. Kennedy, located south of the district in Jamaica, and national LaGuardia Airport to the north, in Jackson Heights. At both airports there are car hire companies where you can rent your car from here, online and without queues.
